Fly By Night at the Truth About Bats & Avies

Pale Empress ~ Fly By Night SE Poster

Fly By Night is a dress inspired by bats, designed to show off your love for our nocturnal flying friends. The tight mini dress forms a dark silhouette as the background for the flare of bats, for the shapes of twists and turns, for the silent wings in the night. The full moon illuminates their flight, marking you as one of their kin. Come join the cloud and swarm the sky!

The dress is created for an event called The Truth About Bats and Avies, organized by slGoth Magazine. The charity is Bat World Sanctuary and the whole event will be delightfully bat-themed.

The midnight blue charity version of the dress is sold for 99L, all proceeds go straight to charity.

There is also a colour-change HUD version available for 295L. The HUD has twelve different colours, giving you practically a fatpack of dresses at the price of one!

The dress is a rigged mesh item that moves with your avatar. It comes in the five standard sizes and is materials enabled. Please try the demo.

Please note that the texture-change script will make the dresses appear no-mod in inventory, but they are as modifiable as rigged mesh can be: if you wish to tint them, you absolutely can.

Permissions are M/C/NT. L99 for the charity version, L295 for the regular HUD-release.

War Boots for A Tattered Page

War shoes template- ATP EXC

Gunsmoke trailing after each step, bullets clicking rhythmically against each other, the glare of the sun reflecting from the skull… War is marching into town and she is extremely happy. There’s no reason to run, no reason to panic, the end result will be the same no matter what you do. War is coming to town, and she has only working holidays.

The War Boots were created for A Tattered Page, for its round focusing on Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

The inspiration for the boots is based on the following citation within the story, describing War enjoying herself:

“Carmine Zuigiber turned and stared at the bodies surrounding her as if she hadn’t the faintest idea of how they came to be there. She licked a spatter of blood — someone else’s — from the back of her hand with a scarlet, cat-like tongue. Then she smiled.

And she walked out of the bar, her heels clicking on the tiles like the tapping of distant hammers.”

The boots are designed for Slink’s high feet. The Slink feet are not included.

The event exclusive red version includes two pairs: one with shine and one without. The difference in effect goes from beaten up war boots to smoother suede.

There’s also the regular release with the usual colour-change HUD: 10 shoe colors, 10 gem colors, 3 skull colors, 2 bullet colors, 2 trim colors and 3 chain colors. This gives you an amazing amount of customization options and creates practically a fatpack of shoes at the price of one!

The boots are unrigged mesh and modifiable so you can reposition and resize them as you wish, but please try the demo. Note that the colour-change HUD shoes will appear no-mod in inventory due to the colour-change script, but they are perfectly modifiable.

Permissions are M/C/NT. Event exclusive boots L95, colour-change HUD boots L395.

Usher II for A Tattered Page

usher gown poster II

The liberation from the strict confines of realism, the celebration of imagination, of fairytales, of the monsters under your bed and in your closet, the indulgence in beauty and fantasy, the triumphant declaration that humankind is more than rules and logic: that is Usher II. A scheme set in motion to achieve all of that, played out in the very last gothic manor built to honor Poe, a vengeance most dreadfully delightful.

Usher II dress and mask were created for A Tattered Page, for its round focusing on The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. If this wasn’t the kind of offering you were expecting from a book set on Mars, read on.

The Martian Chronicles is a series of stories, tied together by a central arc. One of them, entitled Usher II, is a story of dark and gothic revenge against those who would seek to rid the world of all things less than cheerful.

Our designs for this round of A Tattered Page are based on the following quote within the story:

“The House blazed with life and color; harlequins rang by with belled caps and white mice danced miniature quadrilles to the music of dwarfs who tickled tiny fiddles with tiny bows, and flags rippled from scorched beams while bats flew in clouds about gargoyle mouths which spouted down wine, cool, wild and foaming. A creek wandered through the seven rooms of the masked ball. Guests sipped and found it to be sherry. Guests poured from the booths, transformed from one age into another, their faces covered with dominoes, the very act of putting on a mask revoking all their licenses to pick a quarrel with fantasy and horror. The women swept about in red gowns, laughing. The men danced them attendance. And on the walls were shadows with no people to throw them, and here or there were mirrors in which no image showed. “All of us vampires!” laughed Mr. Fletcher. “Dead!:

We hope you enjoy the dark masquerade, and the reminder that the dark ones are everywhere. Even on Mars.

The dress is a rigged mesh item that moves with your avatar. It comes in seven sizes: in addition to the five standard sizes there are also two extra ones: XS+ that provides more generous curves in the top part of base XS and M+ that has more muscles and extra curves than base M. Please try the demo.

The mask is unrigged mesh for easy resizing and positioning and it has a holding animation.

Both the dress and the mask have a colour-change HUD that has three colours for both metals and bone and twelve fabric colours for the dress and mask.

The items will appear no-mod in inventory because of the scripts involved, but they are still modifiable.

Permissions are M/C/NT. The dress L395, mask L195.

Skadi

skadi gown

Skadi, the goddess of winter, mountains, skiing and bow-hunting, is celebrating her season with an appropriately festive outfit. Her gown is dark for she has been often associated with darkness, the nature’s long rest. It is decorated with glittering snowflakes, the falling sources of light in the night. She might not go skiing or hunting in this outfit, but she kept her arrows near to her, regardless. She’s the sparkle of light in the midwinter night, the sharp bite of frost, the depth of darkness covering her like a cloak.

This is an outfit for the wintry goths of strong dark colours with just a touch of silvery light. This is the garb for darker fantasies with a sharp attitude. This is the snowflakes in the blizzard, scathing bite of the breeze. This is the dark side of winter.

Both the dress and the collar come with colour-change HUDs of six colours. The upper and lower part of the dress can be colour-changed separately. The collar has also a colour-change option for the shoulder snowflake: silver or gold.

The dress is a rigged mesh item that moves with your avatar. It comes in seven sizes: in addition to the five standard sizes there are also two extra ones: XS+ that provides more generous curves in the top part of base XS and M+ that has more muscles and extra curves than base M.

The collar is unrigged mesh and can be resized and re-positioned as you wish.

Please try the demos before purchasing.

Originally released at Gothmas by Gaslight 2014, now available in the main store and the Marketplace. The special editions are not available anymore.

Permissions are M/C/NT. The gown with the HUD L295. The collar with the HUD L195.

Persephone

poster pers gown_gloves

Persephone, the bride of Hades, easily encompasses the purity of snow and the dark vines reaching for her, blooming in red. She carries her vulnerability and wounds with pride, drawing strength from her position as the compromise between life and death, the delicate balance of winter’s stillness and the promise of summer. The roses she carries, the roses she walks on are all reminders of warmth and growth, even in the midst of the coldest of seasons.

This look works for both fantasy and elegance, it can be turned to a mythological figure or a stunning goth look for the wintry celebrations. Wear it and see if you dare to court the gaze of Hades.

The dress and the gloves have colour-change HUDs of four colours: red, black, grey, rose. There’s also a HUD to change the hand positions of the gloves.

The dress is a rigged mesh item that moves with your avatar. It comes in seven sizes: in addition to the five standard sizes there are also two extra ones: XS+ that provides more generous curves in the top part of base XS and M+ that has more muscles and extra curves than base M. The gloves are fitmesh and therefore come in just one size.

The hair has a colour change HUD of 15 colours, especially selected to colour-coordinate with Persephone’s palette. It is unrigged mesh and therefore resizeable as you wish.

The eyes and makeup set have four different eye colours and four coordinating makeups to match the eyes.

The slippers are made for Slink high feet. The Slink feet are not included.

The crown and slippers set has colour change HUDs of four colours to change the roses and ribbons to match your style.

Please try the demos before purchasing.

Originally released at Gothmas by Gaslight 2014, Persephone is now available both in the main store and the Marketplace.

Permissions are M/C/NT. The dress and gloves L395, crown and slippers L295, hair L195, eyes and makeups L95.
